The Girl by the Lake (La ragazza del lago) A quiet and lovely hill town in Italy's northeastern Friuli region -- native region of Lido Cantarutti’s family -- is the setting for this "whodunit" mystery! Inspector Sanzio, an experienced policeman, who recently moved to this area, comes to the town to investigate the disappearance of six year-old Marta. His younger colleague Siboldi, a native to these valleys, becomes his guide and helps him to understand the family ties and relationships of the small community. The two of them, accompanied by Alfredo, Sanzio's loyal colleague, will have to stay in town because another crime is about to be committed, likely born of a sentimental or emotional tie. Everyone that Inspector Sanzio meets and interrogates could be the killer.
